Witnesses urged to assist – Rydal School, Colwyn Bay, Wales

We still seek individuals who can assist in civil claims being brought against Rydal School, Colwyn Bay, Wales in relation to allegations of physical and sexual abuse during the 1970′s.
Rydal Mount was founded by T.G. Osborn on 19 September 1885 with just 14 boys as pupils and in 1922 became a public school. After admitting a very small number of day girls in 1966, the school become fully co-educational in 1970 and numbers at its Centenary (1985) were recorded as in excess of 500 pupils.
The claims brought by former pupils will not only include damages for
the actual physical and sexual assaults, but also for psychiatric injuries.
Such claims for compensation are possible whether the abused comes forward later in life or the alleged abuser is alive or not.
We understand that it is not unusual for those who were subject to abuse to come forward later in life. If you or somebody you know were subject to abuse please do not hesitate to contact Charles Derham our specialist child abuse solicitor.
