Man arrested after A55 incident at Colwyn Bay is bailed | |
A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an incident on the A55 at Colwyn Bay, has been released on police bail.
The man, 40, was initially arrested for driving offences after an incident involving an Audi A4 at 0215 GMT on Wednesday at junction 21.
A female passenger was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital at Bodelwyddan with minor injuries and later discharged.
There were long tail-backs as police examined the site of the incident.
The road was eventually re-opened at 1130 GMT.
Police say the local man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder is not related to the victim.
He has been released on police bail "pending further inquiries".
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision involving the Audi A4 to contact North Wales Police on 0845 607 101 (Welsh language line) or 0845 607 1002 (English language line).
