Youngsters terrified by man brandishing meat cleaver on Colwyn Bay beach

When they scrambled to make their escape, he is said to have told them: "If you call 999 you will die, die, die."

The youngsters had been listening to music near Porth Eirias, Colwyn Bay , when they heard the man shouting
Police traced him on CCTV cameras, and when they called at his flat on Greenfield Road, Colwyn Bay, they found a meat cleaver and a lock-knife.
At Llandudno magistrates court, Geoffrey Ernest Ross, 50, pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing a bladed instrument and affray on June 6.
The Bench declined jurisdiction and Ross was bailed to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on September 9.
