Crack cocaine dealer is jailed
A heroin and crack cocaine dealer from Colwyn Bay has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.Stephen Robinson of the Clevedon Hotel in Hawarden Road appeared at Caenarfon Crown Court on Thursday.
Judge Merfyn Hughes QC said it was a sad fact that drugs had spread through the fabric of communities.
Robinson pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
The court heard how Robinson was spotted in the street by a community support officer handing something to a young woman.
Then, near the railway station, he tried to push packets of drugs into his mouth when approached by a police officer.
A total of 22 wraps of heroine or crack cocaine were found on him or in his room.
The judge told Robinson that even low-level suppliers must realise that the offence was very serious and would be punished.
There was also a clear need to deter other drug dealers, he added.
