Counterfeit device found at Colwyn Bay cash machine

POLICE were called to a Colwyn Bay cash machine after a counterfeit device was found.
Officers attended the scene at the Halifax ATM machine at the Penrhyn Road building society on Monday, July 21, where a forensic team examined and then removed the item.
Sgt James Keene, of North Wales Police, said: “We urge people to be vigilant, ensure they protect their PIN when using such machines and notify police immediately if they suspect there is something untoward with the machine.”
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call 101 quoting reference number R111615.
