Colwyn Bay: Train-death victim identified as Laurence McWade
Laurence McWade of no fixed addressed named as the person killed after being hit by a train near Colwyn Bay
A man who died when he was hit by a train near Colwyn Bay last week has been named as Laurence McWade, 40, from Abergele.
At the opening of an inquest in Ruthin John Gittins, the coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that Mr McWade suffered “substantial injuries” in the incident which occurred about half a mile from Colwyn Bay station on June 28.
Mr McWade, who was identified by his fingerprints, had no fixed address but his last known address was in Lon Derw, Abergele.
The inquest was adjourned to a full hearing in Llandudno in December.
