He is also accused of damaging a window at the Abandoned Animals shop at Colwyn Bay the following day. The teenager was released on bail on condition that he does not go within 100 metres of the zoo. Police launched an investigation on 12 October after they were contacted by staff at the zoo. The alligator, which has been at the zoo for more than 20 years, is in excess of 4m long is believed to be the largest in the UK.The hearing is due to take place at Llandudno Magistrates Court next month.
