Shopkeeper sold knives to boy, 15 | |
A shopkeeper who sold two craft knives to a boy of 15 has been sentenced to a four-month overnight curfew at Llandudno Magistrates court.
Mohammad Choudhry, 56, admitted selling the £1.50 pack of knives to the boy at his cash and carry in Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay.
His solicitor said he ran the shop alone because of financial difficulties in the current economic climate.
Choudhry must obey an 2000-0800 curfew five days a week and pay £763 costs.
Llandudno Magistrates heard the offence was picked up by Conwy council in a test purchase at the A&A Cash & Carry.
Choudhry had been fined for a similar offence involving a 13-year-old child in 2006.
