A 41-year-old man from the Colwyn Bay area has been arrested for attempted murder after a woman was attacked earlier this year.
Police said the woman was hit with a pole in Prestatyn on 24 January and was seriously injured.
The man has also been charged with perverting the course of justice and is being questioned by police.
A second man, also from Colwyn Bay, was arrested for attempting to pervert the course of justice and given bail.
