Colwyn Bay - Men from north Wales and Liverpool admit drug supply charges

Men from north Wales and Liverpool admit drug supply charges

Seven men have admitted involvement in supplying drugs after a surveillance operation which led to 29 arrests.
Police suspected a large number of people from Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Bangor were receiving heroin and cocaine from Liverpool.
Drugs, at one stage valued at £400,000, and cash were recovered.
The judge at Caernarfon Crown Court said the men, from north Wales and Liverpool, would each face custodial sentences.
The trial was due to start on Tuesday but the seven defendants admitted the charges.
Steven Bennett, 24, of Bangor, and Stephen Williams, 35, of Liverpool, both admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine.
Michael Creamer, 21, of Conwy, pleaded guilty to being concerned in drug supplying.
John Kavanagh, 40, of Liverpool, admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin.
'Custodial sentences'
Meirion Williams, 31, of Caernarfon, Sean O'Grady, 24, of Caernarfon, and Matthew Hornby, 22, of Old Colwyn, all admitted conspiracy to supply cannabis.
The court heard that police in north Wales and Merseyside carried out an extensive surveillance operation between November 2010 and May last year.
Judge Merfyn Hughes QC said: "These are all very serious matters. Each of them face immediate custodial sentences."
Bail was granted until the men are sentenced at a later date.
