Colwyn Bay man appears in court accused of stabbing his brother

A 40-year-old man Colwyn Bay appeared in court on Friday accused of attempting to murder his brother.

Eric Harvey, of St Andrews Road, is alleged to have repeatedly stabbed Mark Harvey, aged 43, at their home.

Magistrates at Llandudno remanded him in custody to appear at Caernarfon crown court on May 19. There was no application for bail.

Defence solicitor David Jones said :"The facts put forward are clearly in dispute.

"I anticipate a not guilty plea."

North Wales Police said the alleged victim was in hospital with serious but not life- threatening injuries.
