Colwyn Bay: Man charged with brother's attempted murder

Llandudno court hears the rowing Harvey brothers were living together before Tuesday night's incident which left one in hospital

A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of his own brother.
Eric James Harvey appeared at Llandudno Magistrates Court this morning charged with the attempted murder of his brother, Mark Richard Harvey, on Tuesday night.
The 40-year-old was arrested after allegedly stabbing his 43-year-old sibling on May 6, at the property where they both lived in St Andrews Road, Colwyn Bay.
He was arrested last night.
During a short hearing, Eric Harvey spoke only to confirm his name and address.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on May 19.
On Wednesday,  the Daily Post reported that a police helicopter had been seen flying over St Andrew's Road  on Tuesday night. Police later confirmed a man had been taken to hospital.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Evans said: "I would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident which did not occur in a public place.
"Despite charging an individual with attempted murder, our enquiries are still very much on going.
"I would like to appeal to anyone in the community who feels they have any information which may assist with these enquiries to contact Police on 101."
He added the 43-year-old victim remained in hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
