A former soldier who caused a disturbance in the A&E department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd has been ordered to pay compensation to the Board which runs the hospital.
Tracey Willingham, prosecuting at Prestatyn magistrates’ court, said Ian Murselovic was taken by ambulance to the new unit on July 7 after being found drunk in Colwyn Bay but he became aggressive, shouting and swearing at staff.
He urinated on the floor of a cubicle, not having told staff that he wanted to go to the toilet, and a witness called a security officer. Police were also called.
Murselovic, 43, of Station Road, Old Colwyn, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour and said he wanted to apologise. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £200 in compensation to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
