POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Old Colwyn.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, May 23 at 3pm, left a 15-year-old student needing hospital treatment after he was pushed from behind near the junction of St Catherine’s drive, on Abergele Road - causing the victim to fall and hit his head on a boundary wall.
The offender is described as white, between 5ft 8 and 5ft 9 tall, of stocky build, in his 20’s and wearing grey jogging bottoms with a purple t-shirt.
Following the assault, the offender was then seen running towards Old Colwyn town.
PC Matt Jones, of Colwyn Bay Police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information relating to the incident to please contact me or my colleagues at Colwyn Bay police station on 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
