Sexual assault at Little Mix concert in Colwyn Bay being investigated

A SEXUAL assault at the Access All Eirias concert in Colwyn Bay is being investigated by police.
Officers are appealing for information after a woman in her 30s, who was with family members at the event at Eirias Park, was sexually assaulted as headliners Little Mix came to the stage at around 8.30pm on July 21.
The victim was in amongst the crowd of around 2,000 people when she felt someone behind her, she turned around but was unsure if someone had touched her accidentally and turned back around to face the stage.

A very short time later she was sexually assaulted and then turned around and confronted the male which caused a number of people to also turn around and one woman spoke to the offender as a result of which he turned around and disappeared into the crowd.
PC 1543 Simon Newport said: “I appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time to please come forward.
"I am particularly keen to speak to the woman who confronted the male as she may hold key information that could assist with the investigation.”
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time and are particularly keen to trace anyone who saw the male or has information.
Witnesses are urged to contact PC 1543 Newport on 101. Alternatively, individuals with information can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously with information on 0800 555 111.
